Ok, that's the ultimate solution if anything else works.
But the wood trim isn't really wood as we all know (rainforest says thanks ), but simply plastic. So before throwing most of the perfectly good parts away, I want to try to get the shine back.

As for pictures, I've tried that, but on photo it doesn't show. Ultimately, I'll try to respray them with a layer of clear coat (from a spray can).

If that doesn't give the result I want, I can allways replace them.
I suppose they only come as a set?
