I literally got the dye from a shelf in my ex-boyfriend's father's car shop/garage. I have absolutely no idea what it is called anymore since I did it almost a year ago...
It turned out alright. It's got kind of a "hard" finish to it. Definitely not soft at all. I would recommend brushing it with something while spraying it to keep it soft.
