Just changed my E46 (non multifunction triangle type airbag steering wheel).To a multi function M3 wheel E46.Found multi function wiring was behind wheel so connected it.
Due to break in airbag circuit,in order to fit new round type airbag,its put my airbag warning light on.
Garage said their machine wouldnt allow the the reset???
They said it must be due to a different size resistor in the new round air bag???
And for that reason i cant reset it?Also multifunction will never work as it didnt have this on when it left factory??
Your air bags will stilll go off,but all at once instead of individually??
Is this right ?Can car be programmed to the new wheel??
Is there any way to reset airbag light and be able to use the volume adjust on wheel.
Any tech members got any ideas
