Manuals show up more often than you would think.
My 5 speed auto is faster shifting than I am in my later years (mostly out of practice but it is about to become Cobra weather)
The 5HP30 in the 840 is rated to 500 HP by ZF but the 4HP24 in the early 850s is somewhat less than that.
The later 840 and 850 models all have a 5 speed Steptronic '96 and up.
The shift from first to second in my 840 is at 7000 RPM in S at full throttle and you know it has shifted! Just try getting back out of the rear seat!
I Estimate at the moment is that the 8 is a little less than a second slower 0-60 than my '98 Cobra.
In the 1/4 mile the 8 should be less than a second slower.
At a half mile I would be starting to bet on the 8
The Cobra really isn't really slow. It is supposed to do 13.99 second 1/4s but I would have to change the shifter to find out.
