I bought my 1996 328i with 169k miles on it. I have since replaced the auxiliary cooling fan, rear lower control arm, alternator, and would probably benefit from a new steering rack. I have power steering hoses and brake lines waiting to be installed. I will soon also have the RTABs and LCABs done.
You may want to replace teh fuel filter just for peace of mind.
Other than that, just keep your fluids, filters, and brakes changed regularly. You should be golden. I am now at 203,500 miles.
