I signed up on this site to tell this, since I think threads like this hurts a business more than anything, especially when they're written out of frustration. I'm a small business owner, and I am sympathetic to both causes.
Have you gotten your wheels yet? how's it looking?
As far as vqmotoring goes, it seems to be like you're getting upset over things that are in neither one of your control. In the first section, you're blaming them over a FedEx problem, which I know is terrible, but that's not the vendor trying to screw you over. I understand it's frustrating, but what's the point of arguing over something that's out of your control?
As far as screwing up your order, I can totally see that. I would be upset if I didn't get what I ordered, but it also seems that he gave you an option and wanted to help you, even though that option was not something you wanted. Most companies will not talk to you that way, at least not the ones i've dealt with. If you want to ask for a refund, ask for one! most companies will give that to you. In this case, I don't think that he was trying to mess with you at all.
I bought a set of wheels a while back and I had a similar problem. This was from a company that is supposed to be reputable, and I ended up having the biggest headache and worst experience, EVER!! I had the right to complain since they ignored my requests and delayed my shipping by almost 2 months. That's something I did not want to just let go, so I made sure I called their corporate office.
Now, as far as this guy goes....
How can you take him seriously with all the spelling errors and grammar mistakes? I know i'm not perfect at it either, but come on! anyway... This guy is telling you that he's getting the wheels from the same place the other place is getting them from. what makes you think he's going to have them in stock if the same warehouse he gets them from doesn't have them!?!? that makes absolutely no sense. It seems like he's trying to make a quick buck off of you and bad-mouthing another business while he does it, which is bad business practice. As far as the laws of business go, what laws did the other guy break? Don't be pursuaded by frustration.
I don't know how he plans on delivering wheels that aren't sold, but ok. If I were him, i'd make sure you pay for them first.
More incoherent ramble by him on this page as well. If you're a professional, you should at least use spell check. He's being different than other business by putting others' down, which is the opposite of honest and "customer first type" service. A good business will tell you about the competition and tell you why theirs is better, giving you a choice.
This guy sounds more fishy than anyone! After visiting his website, I got the impression that his business doesn't really care about the customer, they just care about making the sale. It looks like it was made by a 5 year-old, on frontpage! I'd be careful when buying from him, rather than vqmotoring, who at least has a pretty well established ebay reputation, or anyone else for that matter.
I hope you ended up with a good company. I'm sorry if I have a biased opinion, but I had an excellent experience with vqmotoring and thought you guys should know they're not scammers. There will always be frustrated people in any business setting, and I think that they did a good job (based on your posts) on making sure you were taken care of. You got your refund, didn't you? Were they nice about it? or not?
Sorry for the speech guys!
