Don't do it, wait for the correct part. It may not look like a big deal, but these parts take on a lot of stress from the torque applied. If you mess up the balance or the integrity of the flanges, that could be very costly. Besides, I think you'll probably have a real hard time drilling them; I'm guessing they're hardened steel.
