im am an advocate for changing things, especially for the better, and particularly with technology. there is always room for innovation and improvement.
however, keyboards is hardly the place. kboards can be innovative, but i would prefer if they didnt screw with the layout!
this is a new kboard and mouse from M$:

where in the F is the numerical keypad and navigation keys? its like a laptop kboard (which is fine in a laptop)!
i recently replaced my old logitech cordless duo with an MX3200 because it wasnt helping my battlefield 2 ranking. the mx3200 is a nice keyboard with many improvements, but they screwed with the editing keys (pgup, pgdn, home, end, insert, and delete). they are in an unfamiliar pattern that will take some time to get used to. after all, i have been using the 101/104 key layout for over 10 years now! i keep pressing ctrl + pgdn when i want ctrl + end!
anyone with me on this one?
