I had a noisy heater blower motor that was driving me nuts. When I turned left the noise stopped, right it got louder. Other than removing the dash and replacing the motor I had no ideas. So, I removed the 2 cabin filter boxes and was able to access/feel the blower wheels, there are 2 that share the same shaft. I had a pic that the motor was suspended on rubber bushings so I shifted the motor a couple of times from both sides by pushing on the shaft. I could tell a definite movement mostly on the pass side as I pushed it toward the drivers side. I also sprayed some silicon into the blowers while they were running. Noise is gone. I think the noise was coming from the (3) rubber bushings holding the motor and not the motor bearings. BTW I have the auto climate control where the fan is somewhat a variable speed. It was loudest at about 3 or 4 notches, sort of where it seems to settle most of the time. Hope this helps someone and I sure am glad I didn't have to remove the dash.
