One day last week it just lit up. I pulled the code (1221). Then on Saturday, the car kept losing power and I was dropping a smokescreen all over the road like Spyhunter. Took me an hour and a half of stopping and going again after the exhaust cooled off, just to get home from across town. FYI: try not to drive it if it's in this condition; it can damage the catalytic converters.
