Question Advice on new DIY project... E30 M10 water pump

Alright, now the next project for my sister's car is a overhaul on the cooling system. The system has absolutely no pressure build up. And the car leaks coolant like crazy, but not from the radiator (it was just worked on a year ago too). My thought? Bad seal in the water pump.

Pelican Parts says that if there is no build up a pressure in the tube between the top of the radiator and something else (can't remember), then you're water pump is probably bad. Alse Pelican says that if there is a leak from near the block, your water pump gasket is bad and leaking.

So, replacing the water pump could potentially solve this problem. Here's the problem, my dad's all about spending money on this car. He wants to replace the entire water pump, the thermostat and change the belts at the same time. Guess who gets to do that? Yep, your's truely.

Here's the real question: where can I find the specs for a E30? i.e. the belt tensions, anything else I might need? Also, any helpful comments would be great. This might be bigger than the strut/shock/brake summer of this year.
