Go with the Canon Rebel XT probally the best damn semipro DSLR out there. I have the original discontinued Canon Rebel DSLR, its about 2 years old and has never let me down. The XT is just an improvement on the original. It's compatiable with all the canon lens, assesories and just about anything you want to use, it has an 8 megapixel sensor and increased power over the original. Also it's not a 1 grand plus budget breaker.
