e90jimmy brought up a good point.... "OK, I may be a big Geek, but if someone has just one vote that is a TEN, then they win. Right? "
We need to develop an algorithm that balances the average ranking with the number of votes. Anyone have an idea for how it could work? Is there a better way than just the average times the number of votes... and compare all those big numbers? That wouldn't be too effective because if you have 12 votes of "3" and 4 votes of "8".... the rated "3" car would be above the "rated" 8 car. If a lot of people vote it horrible, it can actually bypass cars that less people vote amazing.
Someone else have any ideas for how the internal math could work?
