My other thought is to just trade this in, but tell the dealership that fourth gear is blown. From the dealership perspective, they might not mind because their mechanics are hourly anyway, so there's no labor overhead really.
Think I can get away with trading it in, but take a grand or 1500 less than the normal trade-in value?
I'm not really finding a rebuilt one that's cheap enough.
