the mouse i use, is a microsoft intellithing-or-another ... wireless version 2, its supposed to be the "really good" one, i have so many problems with the wireless reception its pissing me off, however a few of my friends have the same one and they dont have a problem with it

however, if i were you, i would get something with a rechargable battery so you dont have to worry about replacing batteries, actually logitech makes some very nice mouses, and very very fast refresh rate or w/e, so they will definately be good for games, you dont really have to settle for the mx1000, the only reason you wouldnt is b/c of the price, but any logitech wireless optical is pretty good
