I really like the GruppeM intake on the E46, it sits behind the driver's side headlight. It's what I have on my 325 and I dig the roar it gives. Of course GruppeM is pretty pricey, so there are now tons of knock offs on the net.

I've heard nothing but good reviews about the GruppeM also.
