So far i replaced the flex drive/guibo or artic disk as it said in the spare parts list. Changed the transmission mounts which were cracked. Replaced the central mounted bearing for the central driveshaft which had a broken mount and finally changed the rear wheel bearings. To top it all off i had the tires inspected, went in for an alignment job. Just got back form the agent today and so far they told me that i have done everything to eliminate the problem...all except one. the driveshaft...
Apparently, the driveshaft was causing all these problems as it was 'unbalanced'...there was no way to have the driveshaft 'rebalanced' at the machine shop. but i wish the agent + the mechanics had told me earlier that the central driveshaft could be the cause of this earlier. if i was to order one it comes with the artic/flex drive coupling + the central mounted bearing (which i had bought already)... does anyone know where i can get the just the driveshaft or get it rebalanced? what are your suggestions on this?
The car is running puuurfectly.. but there are 101 projects coming up within the year..hope to enter my car in the for all to see..
Actually it sounds like your U-joints are bad. I know where there are a lot of places to have drive shafts rebuilt.. But, you don't mention where you live.
