Only things i can think of are.. the caliper pistons are somehow fuxxored, or the caliper mounts are bent or something.

any ideas ??????
...i can actually help with this one. We got a 96 850GLT. Im sure they use the same braking system.

We have owned 5 volvos..and from what we experienced anythign above 95 had brake problems since they are such heavy cars. So dont expect teh brakes to last as long as any other cars.

That aside what company are you using for the brake parts? Our mechnic was telling us Brembo was the best for Volvo...but after 3 brake changes within 30k miles we tried Volvo parts. They last the longest. We have gone 20k miles and still no wooble.

Basically my point is volvos from those years have a weak braking system. Try using Volvo parts and try to put the car into 3rd to initially slow down. Just tell your mom to try to change her braking habbits and Im sure you will see a difference.

also look into the ABS electrical motor. They tend to go out, and cause the ABS system to go off when braking. 200dollars or so to buy a rebuilt one.
