It would have been a favorite except for the parts falling apart or just plain falling off

I bought it "New" with about 100 gentle Demo miles on it.

At about 2000 miles it popped a seal and blew the rear end when it ran out of grease--at 35 mph on ICE.

Had to fight GM over the warranty because in those 100 gentle Demo miles a salesman had ripped the clutch out of the car in an autocross and it was replace with a clutch disk labeled Ford Genuine Parts by the Chevy dealer

At about 3500 miles the rear suspension "stretched" and blew a rear tire at about 80 mph. Known problem but "it might not happen to everybody"

At about 5000 miles I split the transmission case from end to end and the cluster gear was partially wedge thru the crack Known problem again-little old ladies were cracking them but they didn't bother to fix it until the '66 model.

At that stage I let my brother take over the payments at my parents insistance.

Clutch cable "Fell off" soon after.

Then the Knocking started as he was driving by a different Chevy dealer. None of the metal locks for the rod bolts had been bent over at the factory and all of the rods are loose on the crank. The main bearings were the same way.

He traded it a week later.

And I won't start on the Chevy Vega that I bought new
