My car turned out to be okay. It started up and idled a little rough. I probably just need to clean my ICV and intake, because of all the airborne dust at the impound. She needs a wash too.
I am going to start calling lawyers tomorrow to see what can be done. I talked to a retired cop (my brothers, GFs, dad) and he was saying that racing is such a broad term and that it should be easy to drop or lower. Like I said, if I get the racing dropped, I will not care for the speeding ticket.
It looks like this summer I will be placing the engine build on hold until I get a daily driver (e30 5-speed 318is) and track prep my current car. I should be able to make a few dollars out of parts already on there like the headlights and all, but a lot of it is staying, I hope. I still will be paying back my dad as well, since he has funded this whole embarrassment of mine.
As for all of this, I may write a book about it. Being in a holding cell for 14hrs straight really opened my eyes. To anyone reading this, whatever you do, don't race on public roads. This could happen to you, or you could end up in the hospital, or even dead. Go to the local dragstrip or start going to the autox events.
On another note, I wish that Atlanta Dragway would have been open on that day. We would have been there instead...
