Wherever I end up working, I will aim for the vice president for engineering position. As said above, the VP for engineering oversees all engineering operations. It may take may little longer than four years, though. I will probably be a senior engineer or something like that on my first job after I graduate next year, after about one or two years in that position, I expect to be a system engineer (is in charge of a few projects, and oversees the work of all engineers on that project, ensuring that all the pieces fit together); about that time I will have completed my MBA, and will make a push for a VP position, but that campaign may take a few years. I wouldn't want to stop at VP. CEO, COO, and president still fit my ambitions.
